Mr & Ms Olympus 2002 Butch Arnold and Sasha von Haner
Even though it had to move to another city and change its dates in mid November, Pantheon of Leather XII was a success. Pantheon was scheduled to be in New Orleans two weeks earlier.
The Mr. and Ms Olympus Leather 2002 Contest saw Butch Arnold from New Orleans, LA and Sasha von Haner from Atlanta, GA named the winners at the Chicago Eagle on Sunday night, February 17. In the men's competition, Mr. Alabama Olympus Leather Sam Guss was first runner-up and second runner-up was Mr. Georgia Olympus Leather Reggie. Ms Indiana Olympus Leather Mistress Kendra was first runner-up. The contest included five hot fantasies and a fabulous opening number that included Mr. Olympus Leather 2001 Michael Allshouse and Ms Olympus Leather 2001 Sherree Dixon with the contestants and a presentation by the reigning monarchs of the Barony of Chicago. Sherree Dixon opened the contest by singing O Canada and the Star Spangled Banner.
After the contestants completed their categories a titleholder basket auction saw $1,000 raised for Butch Arnold's and Sasha von Haner's travel fund. Following this the winners were quickly named and the photo/hug session closed out the night. The Eagle then opened for a post contest party.
Frank Nowicki, who worked his butt off all weekend as emcee. The judging panel was headed by International Ms Leather 2001 Joni Perrie who was also Ms Olympus Leather 2000, Mr. Olympus Leather 2001 Michael Allshouse, Ms Olympus Leather 2001 Sherree Dixon, IML den mommy Joanne Gaddy, Chicago Hellfire Club president Ken Jacobsen and Leather Archives and Museum board member Jon Krongaard. IMsL 1993 Amy Marie Meek-DeJarlais served as judges' coordinator and her spouse IMsL 1998 Megan was den mommy. IMsL 1997 Judy Tallwing McCarthy was the tallymaster.
A basket auction for the titleholders netted $1,000 for each winner. Butch competed at IML in 2003.
