Ms. Olympus Leather 2005 has been an active part of diverse leather communities for decades. A well-known educator for events such as International Ms. Leather, Beyond Vanilla, Tribal Fire, and Ottawa Leather Fest (to name a few), she was also on the board of the National Leather Association. Caro is a member of Mama's Family and winner of the 2007 Pantheon of Leather President's Choice Award.
FOXY AND SHERIFOX [SHA-REE-FOX]
Winners of Best of Show at the International Pony Play Championships 2007, and again in 2008 in Minnesota, along with other national wins, resulting in titles and awards for events such as show pony, cart pony, freestyle pony, hunter jumper, and dressage. The latest issue of Equus Eroticus features Foxy and Sherifox training ponies in New York's Central Park.
Foxy is a Southern outdoorsman, cowboy and horse trainer. Sherifox is of French and Native American descent. She is a direct descendant of Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe. During his Western travels, Foxy met Sherifox in Montana. Together, they explored her Native American culture, which piqued their interest in the ancient rituals and ceremonies. Involved in the Lifestyle for decades, they also enjoy all aspects of BD/SM, ranging from rope bondage/suspensions to training ponies for pony play. Qualified to present on many subjects, Foxy and Sherifox are happy to present "Round 'Em Up" and "Watersports 101" for the exciting Ottawa Leather Fest 2009. GODDESS GENESIS
Goddess Genesis is a lifestyle and professional Domina located in Los Angeles. She has been an active member of the Los Angeles BDSM and leather communities since 2004, when she relocated from Oregon to pursue her interest in BDSM.
Even before leaving for Los Angeles, she knew what she wanted and had already secured a job at one of L.A.'s leading BDSM houses, The Chateau in North Hollywood, California. Upon her arrival, she immediately began working as a professional submissive. Genesis knew she wanted to be a ProDomme, but also knew that the experience she would get working as a pro sub would help her when the time came for her transition to becoming a ProDomme. By 2006, she was working as a pro switch at The Chateau.
In January 2007, Genesis decided that the time had come to move on and pursue her goal of being a ProDomme. She contacted Mistress Cyan, whom she had met previously, and set up a meeting. Mistress Cyan became her Mentor, and Sanctuary became her home dungeon. A year and a half later, sha is now partnering with Mistress Cyan and has opened her new dungeon, Asylum, near Los Angeles Airport.
Goddess Genesis has presented classes and workshops at DomCon LA and DomCon Atlanta, and co-presented at LA Pride and Great Lakes Leather Alliance. She was a judge for the Mr Sanctuary Leather 2008 contest in Los Angeles and served as the first "judges' girl" in a leather contest in 2007.
JUSTIN JOHN COSTELLO
(Mid-Atlantic leatherboy 2006, Pennsylvania leatherboy 2006)
Justin entered the leather community, happily bound and gagged, in NYC in 1998. Since that time, he has fundraised and volunteered with many organizations, including GMSMA and NCSF. He was the Pennsylvania leatherboy 2006 and Mid-Atlantic leatherboy 2006. He is a member of the NLA-I Philadelphia Chapter, sits on the NLA-I Education Committee, and is the founder of the Leather Tribe of Philadelphia. He is also looking for Mr. Benson.
MISTRESS CYAN
Mistress Cyan was introduced to The Lifestyle in 1989, and has since become a well-respected leader in the Los Angeles BDSM and leather communities. She is known for her charity and dedication to the community and for her skills with a singletail. She is always looking to give back to the community she loves, in any way she can. Mistress Cyan has held her annual Thanksgiving and Christmas slave auctions for seven years. She raised more than $5000 in food and supplies for the needy in 2005, as well as more than $1700 for Hurricane Katrina victims. In 2006, her efforts to collect food for the needy resulted in more than 32,000 people being fed. She spearheaded a year-long campaign to collect as much as $50,000 for the homeless with her "Pennies For Poverty" program. She is the founder and organizer of DomCon LA and DomCon Atlanta, and the owner/operator of Sanctuary in Los Angeles.
Mistress Cyan is always there to help others. She mentors others and helps to educate the BDSM community by teaching classes and workshops. In March 2007, the Los Angeles Leather Coalition presented Mistress Cyan with the Mentor of the Year Award for 2007 at its annual Southland Honors Celebration. She has presented classes and workshops for OCLA, Great Lakes Leather Alliance, IMsL, LA Pride Erotic City, DomCOn LA and DomCon Atlanta, among others, and was invited to Ottawa to present a workshop at Ottawa Leather Pride. In addition to teaching and mentoring, Mistress Cyan has performed at the L.A. Fetish Ball, Erotic City, Long Beach Pride, Club Fetish, Club DV8 and more, as well as at shows all over the USA, including San Francisco, Tampa and Atlanta.
Mistress Cyan was invited to become a member of the Los Angeles Leather Coalition in 2005 after receiving six nominations at the 2005 Southland Honors. She then received seven more nominations at the 2006 Southland Honors and was presented the Fundraiser of The Year Award for 2006. She also received eight nominations at the 2006 Pantheon of Leather Awards and was presented the 2006 Pantheon of Leather Community Choice (Woman) Award. She was honored to be a judge at the 2006 Mr L.A. Leather Contest, the first time such an honor was bestowed on a member of the transgender community. Mistress Cyan was also chosen to represent the Los Angeles leather community as a judge for the Los Angeles Pride Parade in 2006 and was awarded the 2007 Connie Norman Award for Community Service and Leadership by CSW/LA Pride. Most recently, she was one of the recipients of the Treasurer's Award at the 2008 Southland Honors Awards for her help with fundraising over the past few years.

The Agony and the Ecstasy: From Physical Sensations to Spiritual Transcendence
(presented by Lady Caro, Ms. Olympus Leather 2005) (1 hour)
While many involved are all about the sensations of pleasure and pain, few understand the nature and the dynamism of both. Many speak of or experience “subspace” or “sacred pain” without quite understanding its genesis or its scope.
This class was developed to afford an understanding of both. From an introduction to the neurobiology and the physiology of pain and pleasure, to the appreciation of the historical significance of pain, to the exploration of various techniques, to incorporating aspects of Tantra, Yoga, and meditation, to gaining an appreciation of spiritual aspects, this is a comprehensive workshop of how pain and or pleasure can transmute and transcend to spiritual ecstasy.
Attendees will gain, not only a greater understanding of just what we do, but a broader appreciation of why we do it, and where it can ultimately transport us.
The Dynamics of a BDSM Relationship (presented by Mistress Cyan)
It’s all about play…. or is it? Like most other types or relationships, a BDSM relationship takes the effort of all parties to make it work. In this class, Mistress Cyan will discuss the different types of BDSM relationships, what they have in common, and how they differ. The class will also discuss getting into and maintaining a BDSM relationship, and the some of the things you need to know.
Flogging: Before We Begin (presented by Ms V) (1 hour)
Whips are known by many names, such as multi-tailed whips, floggers, scourges, or cats. These implements can be used to titillate, to engage in sexual foreplay, to thrash the bottom, and so on. The
inexperienced dominant, however, can strike repeatedly on undesired areas, such as the neck or kidneys. This can hurt or even injure the bottom, rendering him/her unable or unwilling to get back into play or the scene.
This workshop will focus primarily on on the human body; where and how to use the flogger, and especially why. A short Power Point presentation and handouts will cover some of the following topics. If time permits, we will pursue with a question and answer period

* How to hold and use a flogger
* Where on the body are the more/least desirable areas to strike
* Preparation of the environment
* Preparation of the mindset of the participants
* Suggestions for emotional and physical after care
Gnothi Sauton (Know Thyself) (presented by Justin John Costello)
Oedipus put out his eyes when he learned the truth of his identity. What will you do? "Gnothi Sauton" is a workshop discussion exploring the origins of leather and BDSM, especially in the print or celluloid media, beginning with the S/m nakesakes and finishing with the late 20th century. The workshop then takes a look at today's state of things, the pros and cons of the community, with the intention of bringing awareness and discussion to some major issues facing all of us, and threating our community itself.
Identifying Oneself in the BDSM Lifestyle (presented by Goddess Genesis)
Am I a Top, a Dom, or a Master/Mistress? Am I a bottom, a submissive or a slave? Or am I a Switch? Does it really matter? In this workshop, Goddess Genesis will discuss these terms and why it's important to know the difference.
Round 'Em Up (presented by Foxy and Sherifox) (2 hours)
Time for pony play! Join Foxy and Sherifox in a workshop designed just for Ottawa Leatherfest 2009. This exciting workshop will explore all the aspects of pony play. Is pony play a real fetish or just theatrics? This question and more will be answered. After a discussion and demonstration of the basic tack (equine equipment) and techniques, a new pony will be tacked up, with initial training started. Will the new pony be a show pony, a cart pony, or a beast of burden? Only the pony within will tell!
Watersports 101 (presented by Foxy and Sherifox) (1 hour)
Piss play is fun! That is the desired result of the class. We start with a discussion first, then all or any participants joining in for a hands-on demo. Hopefully, we can overcome some shy bladders! Any demo dollies or dons available? If so, get ready! |
